Passive Bollards

Permanent bollards for cost-effective protection.

Anti-ram passive (Fixed) bollards come in various sizes and look depending on the level of protection required.  Bollards can be supplied with a rating from C40 (Small passenger car traveling 40mph) to M50 (Medium duty 15,000lb truck traveling 50mph) and can be installed with deep and shallow foundations as required.  Bollards can be specified with custom decorative coverings to match the facility's architectural theme.

 

Active Bollards

Automated bollards for sites that demand open access.

Anti Ram Active (operable) bollards are used in the entry and exit lanes where vehicle screening is necessary, at site entrances, parking garages, and building services. Bollards can be supplied with a rating from C40 (Small passenger car traveling 40mph) to M50 (Medium duty 15,000lb truck traveling 50mph) depending on the required level of protection. A retractable bollard system consists of one or more rising bollards operating independently or in groups of two or more units. The bollard is a below-ground assembly comprised of a foundation structure and a heavy cylindrical bollard that can be raised or lowered by a buried electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic power unit and controlled remotely by a range of access control devices. Manually operated systems are also available: these are counter-balanced and lock in the up or down position.
